While I'm waiting for my client's labels to print out...

Over Valentine's Day, I was assaulted by the usual ads for jewelry, etc. But also Laser Hair Removal. Sure, you're thinking, well isn't that a nice gift for my significant other, to get that signficant growth of gorilla hair zapped from whatever inappropriate place it's growing out of.

But no.

Their pitch was that for Valentine's Day, you buy a gift certificate for your Loved One.

What? How romantic is that? Happy Valentine's Day Sweetheart, now go get that Back Hair removed, wouldja? Go lay on a table and be lasered repeatedly until that personal jungle is razed permanently.

Oooh, it makes me tingle. And not in a good way.

I got news. Your sense of romance is so dead that even Grissom couldn't get a liver temp on it.

I 100% agree with you. Problem is, some men (NO, I won't say most) have no idea what to get their SOs and would actually think this might be a good idea!

One year, Big Daddy bought me a White Diamonds gift set. Now, I normally don't like overly strong perfumes since they give me a headache. I wear Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, a nice light fresh scent. In the gift set was a HUGE watch covered in rhinestones. I took one look at the set, and asked him if he KNEW me at all!!!!!!

I got a heat pump for Valentines Day one year. And it wasn't even my house (yet) -- thankfully, it never became my house, either. :)
