Dear Verizon
Dec. 27th, 2007 09:07 amDear folks at Verizon,
I don't know what gobsmacking pinhead of an ad rep thought that putting a ringtone in the background of your latest radio commercials was a good idea...perhaps you do. I suggest you track down said gobsmacking pinhead and...well, just forward their address to me and I will address the problem.
See, it happens to be my ringtone. And you've cleverly managed to strike on JUST the very volume of my cell phone ring when it is at the bottom of my purse, on the floor of the passenger side of the car. Or, perhaps, having fallen behind me on the floor of the backseat.
Sure, I could change my ringtone, but it will take me weeks to bond to the new tone and stop responding to the old one. In which time, YOU will be off onto a new campaign. One with distant, but approaching fire engine sirens, no doubt....

Date: 2007-12-27 06:14 pm (UTC)The sushi place where Glenn and I like to go has a ringtone exactly like the one on our home phone. I have to fight the urge to get up whenever I hear their phone ring. (Could be worse I suppose... at least I don't salivate.)

Them things is dangerous.
