Betraying my heritage

I have workmen in to repair the drywall in the kitchen, so I'm working from home. But I completely failed to plan for this: there is plastic sheeting taped up all over the stairs. So, essentially, I'm trapped upstairs. And the Diet Mountain Dew is trapped downstairs.

PISS POOR PLANNING ON MY PART, NO?

All I have is tap water, 1/4 of a container of Tums and eight Tic Tacs to sustain me.

Pray for my soul.

And the safety of the workmen when they take down the plastic. Let them not be between me and the caffeine.

oy... you have my sympathies. Sure you can't get one of them to toss a dew up the stairs? ;) With assurances that lives are in the balance? ;)
