No matter how much it hurts, after standing and walking on my feet for three days, no matter how much the muscles cramp and spasm and the bones and tendons ache, even when on Day Three it's a struggle to make it back to the car at the end of the day without flopping down in the mud and weeping, and the ride home is is almost worse, with nails being pounded into my bones by tiny little demons....my lower extremities will feel better the next day than they have in months. Super.
A decision I never could have anticipated pondering: When parking next to the Elephant Poop Dumpster on a hot day, is it better to crack the windows so that your car doesn't become a complete hot box, or leave them tightly rolled up to keep out the Eau de Proboscidean.
If I want to pull off an Evil Carnival theme for Halloween, I will need to take vacation time to do it. While sitting out on the deck and carving foam on a summer evening SOUNDS very do-able, the reality is that foam bits really stick to hot, sweaty skin and Dremels, mosquitoes and I should not share the same space. Here's to one more year of Evil Garden!
