Beehives stop elephant crop raids in Kenya

I was originally going to post this for imgeva -- neato, keeno hive design -- but hey, I'm already brainstorming how we could use this in other applications.
Like crowd control...
And since I have a vicious spider bite that's threatening to go bad in a...bad way...I think I'll replace my "this property protected by a greyhound" sign...which is akin to saying this property is protected by Bimbo the Clown -- only effective on a very small portion of the population...I'm going to post "this property harbors pissed-off bees, bloodthirsty mosquitos, eyeball-homing gnats, biting spiders, and a mockingbird that takes nest protection VERY seriously".
THAT should do it.

Date: 2011-07-19 01:14 pm (UTC)I don't mind most bees ... the ground bees/ground hornets are assholes of the insect world though ... innocently mowing grass and getting stung on the ankle ... or worse, having a swarm simply fly up to buzz your head
