I am all about artists' rights, (not that I'm saying that this organization is really out there to protect the artist...) but this is just a step too far....

So, by this reasoning, if you want to have music playing in the delivery room when you have a kid...better start saving nickles for your license fees...

Those of you who are familiar with my verbal passivity* will be greatly amused by imagining me sitting in an hour long meeting with someone who had an Austrian-Canadian accent. And it was basically a Q & A, so she would ask a question, I'd start to answer, swerving crazily between Bavarian, Minnesota and New England, only to wind up sounding Irish or retarded. I'm going to carefully avoid speaking until I can get home and reboot with an episode of Seinfeld.

*by that, I mean that I will adopt any accent around me, making me sound as if I'm mocking the other person. Or, in the case of Skivee, slavishly adoring. Same with keys -- no matter how hard I nail myself to a key (and it takes nailing since it was probably very hard for me to find the right one in the first place, much less stay there) if someone next to me chooses a different key, I'll try to go there, even if it's the key of only-dogs-can-hear)
