Is there anything funnier?
Mar. 28th, 2007 09:13 amIs there anything funnier than watching my 78 pound greyhound get attacked by a mockingbird?
I think not.
There's Percy, most neurotic of greyhounds, moseying along sniffing, when, zoom, out of nowhere flashes the grey and white of a mockingbird on attack. Swoops down at Percy's butt.
Percy, despite being incredibly fast when running forward, is too slow in getting around to his butt...so he whirls repeatedly, looking for whatever it was that hit his ass.
Goes back to sniffing. Zoom, swoop! This time Percy sees it flying away and watches it, head tilted. Of course, he's a greyhound and things in his universe tend to run on the ground away from him, so he's still watching in that direction when the bird, who has now circled around, comes in for another landing on his butt from behind.
This time Percy doesn't mess around with whirling or looking...he just runs to Mom, head and tail tucked.
