Fun at other people's expense

So, driving to Laurel, I pass by the "Welcome to Prince George's County" sign. Maybe it's new, or maybe this is just the first time I've noticed the PG County motto.

Prince George's County: A livable community

Livable? Is that the best you could do? How about "We don't suck"?

And I come from "Better Yet, Connecticut" so I can only pick on those mottos lamer than the Nutmeg State's. Thanks, PG County!

And then from a letter from a vendor promoting a new product: "We introduced this product 3 months ago at the XX show and the response has been unremarkable."

Someone stop me from calling them to find out if they MEANT "unremarkable" and they think that I'm going to now order the product just because I feel sorry for them....or maybe did they mean incredible...

I will call them for you if you will come here and hit the person who has burnt chocolate chip cookies in the TOASTER OVEN for the SECOND TIME. Who "bakes" something in a toaster oven against package recommendations and then doesn't stand over it like a vulture? At work?

Well think of it this way - liveable IS a positive comment ... it could've read:

Welcome to PG County - stop or we'll shoot.

ahhhh PG County...Or "The Pidge" as it is so "lovingly" called....As soon as I cross over from Anne Arundel to Prince George's County, the doors in my car automatically lock..just sayin'

Why even go into PG county - the best liquor store (aka The Happy Store) is still in AA county.
