So I'm talking to a distributor who has a very thick Asian accent. And I'm helping her work out some billback issues with one of my suppliers and she brings an associate on the call with us. And introduces her. And I then refer to this associate, Sheila, several times by name.

Except today I get an e-mail from Sheila and that's when I find out that her name actually IS Sheira.

Poke me with the cultural-insensitivity fork, I'm done.

in a Japanese Restaurant, they read me the beer options and i was AMAZED they were serving Killian's beer. i mean srsly! an Irish beer? in a Japanese restaurant?? so i ordered that. only they uh... weren't serving that.

but at least i liked the Kirin's they brought me.
